Chemistry & Life Sciences Prosecution Associate / Patent Agent / Patent Scientist – Bioinformatics (CA, DC, NC)
February 15, 2023Kilpatrick Townsend's Chemistry & Life Sciences Patent Prosecution team seeks either a USPTO-registered Attorney or Patent Agent/Scientist with strong educational and/or industry experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biology, Chemistry and/or Artificial Intelligence or a closely related field. Preferably seeking a candidate with an advanced degree (e.g., MS or PhD) or 3+ years of relevant industry experience. Notably, this position would involve working with innovations at the intersection of software, chemistry and biology, so high familiarity and experience in those fields is preferred.
Attorney and Patent Agent candidates should have at least 3 years of direct patent prosecution experience. Applicant must be detail oriented and have strong written and verbal skills. Proficiency in technical writing is a plus. Transcripts and writing samples will be requested.
Candidates with an interest in working out of Kilpatrick Townsend’s DC office are preferred, though candidates interested in working in Raleigh, San Francisco, or Winston-Salem office will also be considered. Attorney candidates must have corresponding State Bar for primary office location.
